On June 30, Canada became the 20th country to accede to or ratify the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled. This treaty aims to facilitate access to published works for print disabled individuals through mandatory exceptions to copyright infringement.  Now that the minimum number of 20 acceding countries has been met, the Marrakesh Treaty will come into force in 3 months time, at the end of September 2016.
