The Curriculum Lab is located on level 11 of the University Library, and we are part of the Faculty of Education. We offer a collaborative space to work, and support pre-service teachers as they begin to explore lesson planning and curriculum. We focus specifically on Alberta Curriculum and collect materials and literature to support K-12 instruction.
Loan Period: 6 weeks for faculty, staff & students. Option to renew twice for 6 weeks (subject to a 2 week recall during the renewal periods).
Renewals: Students, faculty or staff members may renew twice. However, materials are subject to recall. Fines for overdue recalled material is $1.50/day.
Fines: Regular loans are 50 cents per day per item for two weeks, and then they go up to $1.00 per day. Maximum overdue fine per item is $15.00, and then you are billed for the replacement cost.
Multi-piece Items: Count the pieces of kits before borrowing them. Missing items will be assessed as damage.
Hours: Normally, you can access space and collections during all open hours of the University Library. Curriculum Lab Staff hours: 8:30-4:430 M-F. See above for modified COVID service. The LINC building is currently closed. All modified Library services are out of Anderson Hall.
