- employed by the University of Lethbridge to provide instruction in courses offered on the University of Lethbridge Calgary Campus, or
- employed as University of Lethbridge faculty or staff on the Lethbridge campus and are temporarily engaged in work- or research-related study that places them at an off-campus location that is more than 90 kilometres outside the city limits of Lethbridge*
*Individuals in category B. above, should apply for extended library services by completing the Library Borrowing Privileges Application form, choosing "UofL Distance" as their "primary campus".

Loan limits:
- unlimited items from reserve collections
- specific items may not be available at certain times of the year, based on high-demand
- Curriculum Laboratory collections;
- limit of 5 items at one time from Curriculum Laboratory collections
- the following types of materials are not available for loan by distance users: Art prints and art bin materials, reference, fiction, oversize and picture file materials
- all Curriculum Laboratory materials are subject to variable, discretionary loan periods when in high demand by students enrolled in the teacher-education program
Holds/Recalls/Bookings:
- holds/recalls accepted for items currently on loan to another borrower
- holds accepted for items with a status of IN PROCESS or ON ORDER
- holds accepted for items listed with an RSTOR (Off-site Main Circulating collection) location
- requests for copies accepted on periodicals
