- Can start a conversation at any grade level across disciplines.
- Text and illustration are fused together, to provide more than either can do alone.
- May be narrative as well as conceptual, wordless, informational and biographical books.
- Authors and illustrators frequently experiment with new styles.
- Standard Length is 32 pages, but may vary from 28-48.
- Many good picture books are available online and can be projected to the group (visit our Literature page).
