Kinesiology & Physical Education: Dictionaries & Encyclopedias

A University of Lethbridge Library Guide to Kinesiology and Physical Education research and resources.

Reference Sources

Reference sources, such as specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias, are an excellent place to begin your research. If you're researching a topic you don't know much about, reference sources will provide you with a brief summary of the topic and may point you to some of the most important research in the field. You might also find terminology in dictionary and encyclopedia entries that you can use to search for articles and books on your research topic.
