Planning Your Research

Why should I take the time to plan my research?

Planning your research in advance will help you to search more efficiently. By taking the time to plan your research early on, you will save yourself time and frustration in the long run.

What sort of things should I consider in developing a research strategy?

Think about the type of information you will need, and decide where you are most likely to find this information. Choose your sources carefully to find the most timely and relevant information.

Remember that part of your plan should be to give yourself time for all stages of the research process - BEGIN EARLY!
