VR Room (L1012)

VR Room

The Library’s VR Room is a space where individuals can experience and experiment with virtual reality. Individuals using the space must first read and sign the video game and virtual reality room waiver form. This form provides information on the risks associated with using the VR Room and registers individuals into the Project Sandbox booking system. The form only needs to be completed once. Additional information on risks, ways to mitigate these risks, and the policies that guide the use of the VR Room can be found in its Hazard Assessment and the Games Room Policy.

Once the waiver form is completed, individuals may use the Project Sandbox booking system to access the VR Room. The process for using the VR Room is as follows:

  1. Book a timeslot.
  2. Checkout the VR Room key and VR controllers from the Library Services Desk.
  3. Open the VR room.
  4. Turn on the TV.
  5. Open the Oculus app and choose desired games/experiences.
  6. Turn off the TV.
  7. Close the VR Room door.
  8. Return the VR Room key and VR controllers to the Library Services Desk.
