Research has shown that publishing your articles in an Open Access venue can greatly increase your readership and, thus potentially your impact. Many journals now offer Open Access options, with or without charging APCs (Article Processing Charges), and more journals are entering into agreements whereby those APCs are waived if the Library subscribes to them.
