Locating Videos

The search box above allows you to conduct a targeted search for either DVDs or streaming videos.

The Library has a collection of DVDs relevant to Education. They are located on Level 10 South of the Library. Like books, DVDs are shelved using call numbers; therefore, many Education DVDs will be located in the "L" section if you wish to browse.

Academic Video Online This link opens in a new window Academic Video Online is a collection of streaming videos that cover different subject areas including anthropology, business, counselling, economics, education, health, history, politics, social work, and more.
CARMA Video Library This link opens in a new window Contains recorded lectures from internationally recognized scholars on a variety of research methods.
Counseling and Therapy in Video This link opens in a new window Provides a large collection of video for the study of counselling, social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counselling.
Criterion On Demand This link opens in a new window An online digital library of over 2600 feature film titles. Criterion-on-Demand represents a large number of feature film producers, including, but not limited to: Paramount Pictures, Paramount Vantage, DreamWorks SKG, Mongrel Media, Sony Pictures Classics, Alliance Films, Miramax Films, Warner Brothers, Lionsgate Films, as well as a smaller number of independent producers. The title selection includes 1920 classics, new releases, foreign films, literary adaptations, documentaries, animated titles, and independent features.
Note: Twentieth Century Fox titles are limited to on-campus use only. In addition, operating systems do not officially support DRM and therefore Criterion On Demand will not work on mobile devices.

Kanopy This link opens in a new window Provides award-winning documentaries, training films, and theatrical releases across diverse subjects and disciplines.
NFB (National Film Board of Canada) This link opens in a new window The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is one of the most acclaimed creative centres in the world. In addition to being a public producer and distributor of Canadian content, a talent incubator and a showcase for the country’s filmmakers and artists, it is the caretaker of an accessible, living audiovisual heritage that belongs to all Canadians. This database includes 500+ films available for educators that are labeled "CAMPUS".
Video Journal of Counseling and Therapy This link opens in a new window Access research and best practice methods in the fields of counseling, mental health and psychology. Includes contemporary presentations, lectures, and workshops from counselors, psychologists, and practitioners.
