The University of Lethbridge Library has a wide selection of films on multiple formats which are available for check out or streaming online! Use this guide for help with searching for films using the library catalogue.

Film/Video and Formats

The University of Lethbridge Library has many films and videos available in a variety of digital formats such as DVD, Blu-ray, and streaming. The Library also has the equipment you need to make use of these videos for personal study or class instructional purposes. 

While this guide will provide you with a basic orientation to the film and video collection there are many people available to help you should you need.

For help finding a video on a particular subject, questions about borrowing periods, information on what you can sign out of the Library, or assistance with equipment, please contact the Library Services Desk on Level 10.

Borrowing Audiovisual Equipment

Does the library lend out audiovisual equipment?

The library has audiovisual equipment for you to borrow, including:

  • Digital cameras and camcorders
  • Presentation equipment (overhead projectors, portable screens, flip charts)
  • Public address equipment (microphones, stands, etc.)
  • Stereo systems & various media players such as record, cassette, DVD, and Blu-Ray

Staff at the General Services Desk are available to assist you with booking and signing out of equipment. You can also book equipment online.

Media Collection

Many videos and films can be found in the media collection located on Level 10 of the Library.

Here the collection is subdivided by format (DVD, cd, vinyl...) and organized using the Library of Congress Classification System.
