APA Citation Style, Seventh Edition: Lecture Materials

In General: 
  • Use this format to cite a set of notes from a lecture or PowerPoint slides provided by your instructor.  
  • If you want to cite something from a lecture that was not included in a set of lecture notes, use the format for personal communications (see the format for an interview, for example).
  • If the slides you are citing come from a classroom website or learning management system (e.g., Moodle), and you are writing for an audience that has access to the resource, (e.g., professor or classmates) provide the name of the site and its URL (use the login page URL for sites requiring a login).
